Title : Research of anti- Micropolyspora faeni, anti-Aspergillus fumigatus and anti-hay mould precipitins in the serum of chronic pulmonary diseased horses in Tunisia.

Summary : The authors study precipitins in the serum of 42 control horses and 72 horses showing chronic pulmonary diseases at different stages. All animals were from north east of Tunisia and constituted 2 comparable groups. The authors observe more anti-Micropolyspora faeni, anti-Aspergillus fumigatus and anti Hay mould precipitins in chronic caughing horses sera than in control ones. They observed more precipitins in the spring than summer. Sick animals have higher positive responses for Micropolyspora faeni, and 25 % normal horses have positive responses for hay mould.
