Title : Equine Contagious Metritis, a new legally reputed contagious disease : a review of sanitary measures.

Summary : Equine Contagious Metritis is a bacterial disease due to Taylorella equigenitalis which is specific of equids. It has recently been added to the list of Legally Reputed Contagious Diseases (Decree of January the 13th, 1992). French laws indicates measures for the eradication of the disease from declared outbreaks and for the control of stallions and mares. These measures are presented after a brief recall of the characteristics of the disease.
