Title : Trichophyton gallinae -induced fowl favus : experimental infection trial.

Summary : Trichophyton gallinae is a parasitic dermatophyte of fowl and induces in these birds a favus called « white comb », owing to the lesions appearance. The typical biological characteristics of this fungus are described. A macroscopic, microscopic and histological description of the lesions obtained upon experimental inoculation of hen with T. gallinae is exposed.
