Title : Helminths of dogs in Dakar, Senegal.

Summary : Seventy two adult dogs are checked for their helminth population, 100 p. 100 of examined dogs were infested by one or several species of helminths. Prevalence of these parasites were determined. The most frequent parasites were Dipylidium caninum (86 p. 100), Ankylostoma braziliense (79 p. 100) and Taenia hydatigena (44 p. 100). A second group of helminths with low prevalence were represented by Spirocerca lupi (20 p. 100), Ankylostoma caninum (17 p. 100), Toxocara canis and Dirofilaria immitis (8 p. 100).
