Summary : Tonsils are one of the most important lymphoid structure of the digestive and respiratory systems and they are specially developped in bovines. To determine the exact localization of the tonsils, 16 animals were used for histological examinations. Consequently, one animal was topographically examined (sections of the head at regular intervals). This study permitted to specify topography and histology of the lymphatic system of the pharynx area and, more particularly, to determine sections which enable the «Waldeyer's ring» examination.
Keywords : tonsils - anatomy - histology - topography - bovine.
