Title : The normal electroretinogram in adult healthy Bulgarian hound dogs

Summary : The aim of the present study was to establish an electroretinography protocol for the ERG equipment of the Small Animal Clinic in Veterinary Faculty, Trakia University and to determine the reference values of ERG parameters in Bulgarian hound dog. Twenty six healthy dogs (fifty two eyes records) were included in our study. The examination was made with a retinographic ERG unit with an ERG-jet lens electrode, under general anaesthesia using medetomedine, ketamin and diazepam and maintained with isoflurane. The reference values of ERG parameters for Bulgarian hound dog were reported.
