Title : Laparoscopic study of cyclic corpus luteum in the ewe
Authors : J. COGNIÉ, G. BARIL, J-L. TOUZÉ, J-P. PETIT
Summary : We studied corpus luteum (CL) in the ewe by laparoscopy, immediately following ovulation, to get a pictures bank for reproductive physiologists. After their estrus and ovulation were synchronised, six ewes underwent laparoscopy every two days from the day of ovulation (lot 1) or the day after (lot 2) until the next ovulation without creating adhesions. The present study was designed to propose a dating of CL in experiments about new treatments of reproduction and, later, compare laparoscopy to ultrasonography to evaluate the CL differentiation by ultrasonography only because providing noninvasive picture.
