Title : An outbreak of cowpox-like lesions in a group of bulls

Summary : An outbreak of cowpox infection in a group of young bulls is described. All the animals were found to be affected but with no systemic illness, and recovery was observed in 2-3 weeks. The agent was identified by virological and serological test histology and electron microscopy, which revealed a characteristic orthopoxvirus. The epizootiology of the infection is discussed
