Summary : By now, the udder hygiene products, which are used for the prevention of mastitis in cows, are not controlled by legislation. Use of a test system based on the Experimental Standard T 72-300 (or T 72-301) towards the bacteria stipulated in Standard NF T 72-150, with 1 % V/V milk as interfering substance for a product ready for use, or with a mix of � 1 % V/V milk and 30�f hard water � for a product to dilute before use, may be regarded as a minimal requirement for evaluation of a teat hygiene product prior to commercialization.
