Title : Strains of coagulase negative staphylococci (C.N.S.) isolated from goats' cheese in Rhône-Alpes region : identification, antibioresistance and enterotoxigenicity
Authors : C. VERNOZY, C. MAZUY, C. LAPEYRE, G. CHANTEGRELET et Y. RICHARD.
Summary : The identification with the kits API STAPH and ID32 STAPH of 41 strains of coagulase negative staphylococci isolated from goats' cheese in Rhône-Alpes region has shown the predominance of strains susceptible to novobiocin with in first position Staphylococcus simulans (37 %) and the high frequency of Staphylococcus capitis (20 %). The antibiotic resistance, tested by use of ATB STAPH, revealed that 13 strains, were resistant to fosfomycin with high minimal inhibitory concentrations. Only two strains Staphylococcus hominis and Staphylococcus warneri, among 15 strains tested by dialyse bag culture method, produced a low quantity of enterotoxin A detected by indirect double sandwich ELISA.
Keywords : Staphylococcus - coagulase negative -cheese - antibiotype - enterotoxins - goat.
