Summary : | Five hundred eighty five sheep serum from four West or Central African countries (Senegal, Niger, Mauritania, and Gabon) were tested by ELISA specific to Haemonchus contortus. The prevalence rate recorded vary between 70 and 100 % with variations in the antibody titers depending up on the country and the season of the year. Globally, the numbers of sero-positives animals were greater in wet season than in dry season. |
